Pitchesto // LEGAL SPECIFICATION
Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets rules for using Pitchesto. It is part of the Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination.
2. Allowed use
You may use the Service to:
- Discover and research businesses you intend to pitch website work to in good faith
- Generate, edit, and present unofficial website demos for sales conversations
- Collaborate with your team inside a workspace you control
- Collect client payment through Stripe Connect for services you deliver
- Publish sites for clients who have authorized you when hosting is enabled
3. Prohibited use
You may not use the Service to:
- Harass, spam, threaten, or flood businesses with unsolicited outreach
- Build or sell bulk prospect dumps scraped solely for resale outside legitimate client work
- Impersonate a business, government, or person
- Fabricate reviews, ratings, credentials, certifications, prices, or endorsements
- Collect or process sensitive personal data (health, biometrics, precise geolocation of individuals, children’s data, etc.) except where you have a lawful basis and the product is designed for it — Pitchesto is not designed for that
- Violate export controls, sanctions, or anti-corruption laws
- Engage in fraud, phishing, or social engineering
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity, or other rights (including reuse of photos without licenses)
- Publish illegal content, including CSAM, terrorist content, or content that incites violence
- Use the Service if you are a competitor solely to reverse engineer or build a competing product through systematic abuse of access
4. Research and public-web retrieval
- Only target publicly accessible business information relevant to website sales workflows
- Do not attempt to access private networks, authenticated-only areas, paywalled content you are not entitled to, or non-public APIs
- Do not instruct the Service to bypass technical access controls, CAPTCHAs intended to block automation, or rate limits of third sites in bad faith
- Respect that recovered contact details may be outdated; verify before outreach
- Comply with telemarketing, email marketing, and anti-spam laws (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CASL, ePrivacy, etc.) for any outreach you run outside or alongside the product
5. Content standards
Customer Content must not include malware, deceptive claims, or materials you lack rights to use. You must have authority to process prospect and client data you store. When generating sites, do not invent regulated claims (medical, financial, legal guarantees) without a factual basis from the client.
6. Demos and impersonation
- Label unofficial demos clearly when presenting to prospects
- Do not publish a demo on a production domain as if it were the client’s official site without approval
- Do not use logos, photos, or brand assets in a way that confuses consumers about endorsement or ownership
- Sample foundations (for example fictional restaurants) must remain labeled fictional
7. Security and infrastructure abuse
- No probing, scanning, or load testing without prior written permission
- No attempts to bypass authentication, quotas, billing, or share-link protections
- No mining, botnet activity, or use of the Service to distribute malware
- No sharing of API keys, session cookies, or secrets outside authorized operators
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, revoke share links, suspend hosting, limit features, or terminate accounts. We may report illegal activity to authorities. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may act when we become aware of issues.
9. Reporting violations
Report abuse or illegal content to privacy@pitchesto.com with URLs, timestamps, and a description of the issue.
